2004 Fish Fry

he Sugarloaf Volunteer Fire Department is preparing to again hold its annual fish fry fundraiser. The fish fry proceeds fund much of the operating expense for the department during the year. The 20+ volunteers provide primary fire and rescue support in the area from Baypoint to Summerland. In 2003, SLVFD provided primary response on 123 calls and secondary response on an additional 89 calls from Stock Island to Big pine Key.

This year, the Fish Fry will be held from noon until 4 PM on Sunday, February 15th, at the Sugarloaf Station at MM 17. The Fish Fry will again host a book sale, bake sale, white elephant sale, plant sale and the ever-popular 50/50 raffle. Along with fried fish and grilled chicken will be the usual fixin’s.
